The chapel has maintained its authentic character and appeal. All the original timber pews were placed back in the Chapel which gives a feel of old world charm, lending itself to the smaller more intimate weddings

The Chapel is fully air conditioned to cater for Cairns’s summer months.

What is the Chapel capacity?
The Freshwater Historical Chapel is equipped with pews to seat up to 40 people and there is room for an additional 20 people to stand at the rear of the Chapel.

What sound facilities are available?
There is a CD sound system with 2 speakers on the rear wall of the Chapel.

Is the chapel air-conditioned?
Yes. The Freshwater Historical Chapel is fully air conditioned.

Are there toilets?
Yes. There is a unisex toilet on the premises.

Are there any other facilities at the chapel?
The Freshwater Historical Chapel also has a hall at the southern end of the property that can be used for many purposes. Request basis only.

Deposits: 50% of total price to be paid 90 days prior to the wedding ceremony. Balance to be paid 7 days prior to wedding.

Cancellation Policy: Applicable in the following circumstances, and includes all booked optional extras.

• Cancellation fee of 20% of entire wedding costs will be charged if wedding is cancelled 71-90 days prior to wedding
• Cancellation fee of 50% of entire wedding costs will be charged if wedding is cancelled 41-70 days prior to wedding
• Cancellation fee of 100% of entire wedding costs will be charged if wedding is cancelled 40 days prior to wedding
• Cancellation fee of 100% of entire wedding costs will be charged if wedding is cancelled on the day or parties no-show.
